Cheat's Cheesesteak Parlor

We went to this location on a Friday night. It's in a very congested area with lots of options and no parking anywhere. What was a welcomed suprise -- this restaurant has thier own and pleanty of parking avialable. This location is also an eat outside or take out only option -- there are several picknic tables nearby or on the other side of the parking lot. Now for the food. I've tried many cheesesteaks in the area. Nothing is like the realy philly cheesesteaks (like Geno's) around Charlotte. Cheat's was a gerat suprise. These cheesesteaks are seasoned just right and absolutely done right. Thier fries are fresh and seasoning is spot on -- very tasty. While these may be priced more in the "trendy" food pricing, they are worth it. I will definately be back and recommend everyone to try this place out.

Hands down the BEST cheesesteak in Charlotte. This is a real cheesesteak made with Cheez whiz. Any other kind of cheese and it’s not a cheesesteak it’s a steak and cheese. There’s a difference. The bread is delicious, and as the foundation of a good sandwich, if the bread isn’t good the sandwich can’t be either. The meat is delicious and cooked to perfection. Just enough grease to be perfectly moist but not dripping all over the place. The seasoned fries are delicious too. The service is fast and they stay busy. Great little spot worth the prices, which I found to be fair for what you get.

As a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, I'm often hard to impress when it comes to Charlotte's culinary scene. However, Cheat’s truly exceeded my expectations. I loved the pepper cheesesteak and chicken dirty fries – both incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned. And for dog lovers, make sure to get the pup cups; my babies couldn't have been happier!

Finally, this amazing pop up has a brick and mortar location!! Even on day one they were pretty quick even though the line was long. Ordered a steak (with prov and onions) and the loaded fries for my wife who has a gluten allergy. In addition I got some fries for myself. Oh and I had to try a swirl soft serve with vanilla and pineapple! The steaks are SO GOOD! The meat gets crispy and the onions vary in texture making every bite be a bit different. The fries have a light old bay like seasoning. Not too strong. Very crispy as a fry should be. If you’re from Philly think of Chickie and Pete’s crab fries but not limp and not as salty Being from Philly I’m STOKED they finally opened up their brick and mortar location. Highly recommend this to anyone

This place lives up to the hype! Quality ingredients and quality staff makes a great finished product. They may be a bit pricey but again, this is quality product (fresh baked rolls, shaved ribeye not "Steakum" meat, homemade cheese sauce and peppers, etc) Definitely a 8.8/10! Would have been 10/10 but I like my cheesesteaks packed out and sloppy! All in all, it was worth checking out! And be sure to get the loaded fries too. Been meaning to try this Cheesesteak place for a while and it did not disappoint! This small little takeout place between Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth was soooo good! I am honestly still dreaming of the cheesesteak! It was juicy, tasty and as authentic as it can get get outside of Pennsylvania. We ordered some fries as well and that seasoning was just really delicious! They added a couple benches outside their store so technically it's not a full take out place anymore. We enjoyed the atmosphere and service there! We will be back!

These cheesesteaks are amazing. The bread, the meat, the cheese, the other toppings...all fresh, hot and delicious! The bread is sized more like a torpedo in the Jimmy John's vein but different flavor and texture than larger Italian-style loafs. The prices are good, about what you'd expect from a cheesesteak at a quality specialty shop. The fries are well seasoned and crispy. They're also fairly priced for what you get in the little pack. My wife and I actually shared a cheesesteak, fries and a Diet Coke for lunch one day. There's plenty of free parking in a small lot beside the restaurant. There's also plenty of seating outside in multiple spots at the walk-up restaurant. There is no inside seating here. They do have heaters they run on certain days. They were not running while we were there. We'll absolutely be back. This is a little Charlotte gem.
